

I've also found that if I fill the bucket with water I can dive down to the bottom of nice bowl type catches and suck up whats inside them, the sand and heavy stuff go to the bottom of the bucket helping to keep it on the bottom. As I said, I use mine with the bucket, yes the lid is a pain to get on and off, but I'd rather it be a pain than have it go shooting off down stream.

I cut those fragments off, put it back together and it worked better than the first time I got it. During one of the discussions on the gold n sand, I started taking it apart to show the different bits and I found that in both of the areas with the flaps the pipe where the thumb screws are had split a little and it was just enough to block the flaps from closing all the way.

I love my gold n sand, but was getting a little frustrated with it being so hard to prime and get going, this past outing we had over 70 people, and as I was processing my bucket in my gold miner people would stop and ask about both the gold miner and the gold n sand.
